I cannot reproduce this problem (nor am I sure exactly what the problem is, log excerpts and minidumps would be useful). How do you know you are "losing VAC"? How do you know that a restart doesn't fix the problem (do you wait a little for login sequence to complete?) What are the configurations of the machines with the problem? Do you have other machines that do not exhibit the problem?
