Jesus fucking christ Valve... Way to shovel bullshit down the throats of people who bend over backward to support you who receive little or no reward in return. Hours of my own personal coding flushed down the crapper with one simple update.
I've been managing game servers well over a decade now, and SRCDS has to be by far the biggest steaming pile when it comes to "Suprise! all your shit is broken! Hope you had no pressing plans for the weekend =D !!!" banzi console-cowboy patch releases that you could set your watch by. I feel sorry for all you professional server admins who are trying to make your living off of providing/maintaining leased SRCDS servers or processes. If I was in that boat right now, I'd seriously consider taking a header and breaking an arm or leg in the machine room just to get on workman's comp for a few months. I'd say that'd give Valve enough time to get their shit straight... But hey, who am I kidding. Valve is looking far less like a software company and more like a 30 car pileup on the interstate as time goes on. "0" was the way to go for default behavior. I'm thinking about just turning my server off. Without the utility of the plugs-ins it's just too hard for me to manage. -- _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
