Increasing the price wont matter, there are (many) hacks that evade all VAC protection and anything else valve currently does to try to stop them, which I hope valve knows about. That said, I can truthfully say that I have never intentionally hacked in an on line FPS game. (had to choose words carefully after Diablo, and how my graphics card occasionally lets me see people through walls just by random chance)
a better thing to do is to start releasing old games into public domain and asking for donations (as long as the accounting is not tooo hard with donations), but no regular company would do that. Clutch9 wrote:
I've had many problems concerning CS1.6 on Vista. EAX not working and others. http://pc.ign.com/articles/759/759538p1.html might be an interesting read. Maybe it's time Valve reprogrammed CS1.6 to comply with Vista? I'm sure they've not yet completely given up this project, as it still bring in money. However I am not sure they know why they cannot increase the price a little, as cheaters seem to have no troubles buying new accounts. _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
