I hadn't seen that discussion. I can definitely understand that view point, although I'm not sure why the group name is any worse than the avatar or the Abbreviation for a griefing attack. Goatse and meatspin could do quite a bit of damage to ones reputation before its reported/taken down. :) Its a shame that it'd be a huge pain in their butt to have a method to request a name change which depends on someone approving it.
