I'm sorry, maybe I wasn't being clear enough with my e-mail. I'm not interested in hearing about possible work-arounds. I know how the map-specific config files work and I know a work-around will help bandaid the situation.
What I'm wondering is if anyone else can confirm this happening? The bottom line is something broke and it's not working the way it used to. Whether this be intentional or not, I'd like to know if anyone else is seeing this. Perhaps valve will then see the multiple "oh yeah, confirmed this is happening on my dedicated servers" and then we can just hope for a fix from Valve. If no one else can confirm this happening on their servers, then it's an issue with mine where it's not doing what is expected. At that time I'll either need to find a workaround or a fix. Can anyone else confirm this happening on their servers? -turb0z -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Michael Krasnow Sent: Monday, June 15, 2009 2:12 PM To: Half-Life dedicated Win32 server mailing list Subject: Re: [hlds] [TF2] - Map Change not executing server.cfg Yea you can do that to but then it will do the entire cfg which can take a while compared to a couple map specific in the map cfg On 6/15/09, Nicholas Watkinson <[email protected]> wrote: > Or throw exec server.cfg into each map config, if thats the way you want to > go to "fix" it. > > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Michael Krasnow > Sent: 15 June 2009 18:42 > To: Half-Life dedicated Win32 server mailing list > Subject: Re: [hlds] [TF2] - Map Change not executing server.cfg > > Once again just do the map cfg like ctf_2fort.cfg and but in the host > name that you want it to have along with other map specific settings > > On 6/15/09, Matthew Gottlieb <[email protected]> wrote: >> exec server.cfg in the start up line might take care of it too... >> >> On Mon, Jun 15, 2009 at 11:33 AM, Brent Veal<[email protected]> >> wrote: >>> I don't know 100%, but I would assume that autoexec only loads when the >>> server is started >>> >>> >>> On Mon, Jun 15, 2009 at 9:26 AM, Matthew Gottlieb < >>> [email protected]> wrote: >>> >>>> Autoexec is only ran when the server is launched though, right? >>>> >>>> On Sun, Jun 14, 2009 at 11:01 PM, Michael Krasnow<[email protected]> >>>> wrote: >>>> > if the hostname was changed then it should revert back if not try >>>> > putting >>>> it >>>> > also in the autoexec.cfg >>>> > >>>> > On Sun, Jun 14, 2009 at 11:50 PM, turb0z <[email protected]> > wrote: >>>> > >>>> >> I've noticed since the last update that when performing a map change >>>> after >>>> >> executing a league config (CEVO, TWL, etc) the hostname doesn't > revert >>>> back >>>> >> to what the server.cfg file has configured. >>>> >> >>>> >> >>>> >> >>>> >> Wondering if anyone else notices this?
