i myself had crashing issues immediately after the mecha update because SM dropped a new snapshot which at the time was the most recent update but also contained a error with 1 of the new weapons. so once SM released its second snapshot since the mecha update (3719) the crashing for me as ceased. so id recommend updating to SM 1.5.0-hg3719 if you arent using it already.
