The old beta wasn't v34, and you can still totally transfer files on the
current release versions of OB (TF2/CS:S). VAC seemed to be the solution to
client plugins in the long run. But still, I'm really bothered by the
unnecessary removal of the game, considering they had new features in the
beta that were never added to the main branch, and the main branch is still
pretty much busted.
