Ok - senseless to try and find out what valve has said about this - too much BS to filter through - that's how I probably missed it is unsubscribing here for awhile.
How we see it is - we have half-life servers (tfc/cs/dod) - Users that purchased half-life have a wonid and can download the cs/tfc client to play on these servers. Steam is going to affect this how? Pay for updates now with steam? Is the current way going to be left alone and allowed to continue - or is it going to be forced to "steam"? The website and forums have no precise answer that I could find either. Why would we change from what we're using and use steam servers? Would users be able to connect to these steam servers with their regular half-life/TFC setups or is a steam client required for them to connect and play? I ask these questions because we will of course stay in the game and test - I just would like to know where its going and how it is going to affect the majority of the users out there. ______________________________________ Britt Priddy, CCIE Network Engineer Power Zones Gaming Network Cyberbasin Internet Services 432.620.0051 ext. 106 432.688.0193 fax -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Mad Scientist Sent: Tuesday, July 08, 2003 3:23 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [hlds_linux] Steam linux release According to the great words of PZGN: > IIRC?
