What did you change them to? CAL servers run the exact same rates (although
in 1.6). Although... I to tend to see when playing source that the data
transfer is way, way more than CAL, which is why this may pose a problem.
It should only tend to be a problem, though, when clients set their rates
higher than they should if I am not mistaken.

I haven't gone around running too many source servers, but I fail to
understand what are you griping about. What is the problem with a
sv_maxrate
25000 and sv_maxupdaterate 100?
I had a match cfg package passed my way for the TWL for their
2-v-2/3-v-3/5-v-5 matches for CSS
In the cfg's I noticed this... sv_maxrate 25000 I wanted to get input
from
the gameserver hosting community as to weather you guys are OK with them
doing this?? Even though it would be for a small player count, and for
the
matches only.

I noticed the miscnfiguration in the configs given to me by TWL.
I did attempt to run with their network values, thinking maybe they knew
something I don't. They don't, and the network settings are just wrong.
I simply adjusted the network settings to a more reasonable values, and
all is well.
Their settings seem designed for lan play.
