Then don't create big motd pages if only 9k modem user connect to
your server... but why limit it?!
And a normal motd isn't that big, a few kb's, that wouldn't "flood" a
modem user in any way!!!


The map files should also be just ~1.4k in size, else it would be
too large for the modem users!?

That's not a real argument you stated...
