It's hard to answer this. Maybe it has something to do with Linux versions and server mods. On my server after the AMXX 1.70 release I got better FPS results. Now when I run sys_ticrate 1000 and pingboost 1 server FPS jump from 500 to 1000 (depends on map that I'm runing then). de_aztec was always a "plague" on my Pentium. I heard that people get much stable FPS when they run BSD. Of course I don't believe in that and I still stick close to my SuSE 9.x ;).
