Well, I also use AMXX 1.70. And HLGuard 1.80 + latest metamod-p.
I don't want to run on a high tickrate since it shouldn't make any
difference for the players. It only burns my server CPU ...

Oh, SuSE ... I pity you ;) I run on Gentoo. But that is another topic...

Hmm, I think it would be very interesting if the fps was also unstable
before they updated to the event handling.

How is SRCDS driven? Events or polling?
