Crap! I have been running the non-beta, I just updated to the new beta and the CPU usage it 70-99% with 1 player. It seemed normal at first, after about 10 minutes of play it started to lag and quickly became unusable. I get what seems like lag. Take some shots and the ammo usage returns to what it was before I took the shots. Going back in time. I have seen this with 1 map that required a lot of CPU, more than normal. But I am playing breakfloor, it runs fine on a P3-500MHz. I am currently running the server on a P4 Celeron 2.4GHz. I have been using this computer for about 2 weeks without this problem. I have had 10 players without problems. uname -a Linux ubuntu 2.6.20-15-generic #2 SMP Sun Apr 15 07:36:31 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux The system only has 1 CPU, not sure why it says SMP? top - 00:24:44 up 1:10, 6 users, load average: 9.53, 9.18, 5.60 Tasks: 103 total, 10 running, 93 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie Cpu(s): 38.3%us, 49.9%sy, 0.0%ni, 11.9%id, 0.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st Mem: 247468k total, 238552k used, 8916k free, 444k buffers Swap: 722884k total, 62396k used, 660488k free, 39624k cached PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 6264 guy 15 0 147m 66m 13m R 87.1 27.4 12:27.99 srcds_i686 Alfred, this is a different computer. Oh, I still get these messages, but they don't seem to cause any problems: utlmemory.h (314) : Assertion Failed: IsIdxValid(i) I reverted to the non-beta and played the same map for about 10 minutes and no problems.
