How do you get 38.3% and 87.1% usage of cpu if you only have one cpu ?
I guess that you have HT enable ! - dissable that !

Crap! I have been running the non-beta, I just updated to the new beta
and
the CPU usage it 70-99% with 1 player. It seemed normal at first, after
about 10 minutes of play it started to lag and quickly became unusable. I
get what seems like lag. Take some shots and the ammo usage returns to
what
it was before I took the shots. Going back in time. I have seen this
with
1 map that required a lot of CPU, more than normal. But I am playing
breakfloor, it runs fine on a P3-500MHz. I am currently running the
server
on a P4 Celeron 2.4GHz. I have been using this computer for about 2 weeks
without this problem. I have had 10 players without problems.

uname -a
Linux ubuntu 2.6.20-15-generic #2 SMP Sun Apr 15 07:36:31 UTC 2007 i686
GNU/Linux

The system only has 1 CPU, not sure why it says SMP?

Alfred, this is a different computer. The other computer had some RAID6
problems and I am testing it now. It will return soon.

Oh, I still get these messages, but they don't seem to cause any problems:
utlmemory.h (314) : Assertion Failed: IsIdxValid(i)

I reverted to the non-beta and played the same map for about 10 minutes
and
no problems. Here it a sample from top:
