Hi, Of course it would tell via rcon say or some other way that server is not secure anymore and then maybe do quick reboot for the server.
And I know how VAC work because I am developing anticheat so I have of course looked into VAC. And so does anyone else who has some asm/c/c++ coding skills and wants to find out. Im not telling any specific details about it, but I can tell that i'ts not very efficient and it does only detect hacks which hashes it has on its database. So it's not really a real time scan/protection against hacks because it needs to have the hack what you are using in its database so it protects you for known public hacks etc. Tom Leighton kirjoitti: > Don't mind me, but that would enable people to be playing a match and > then VAC to be disabled when it starts... leading to people believing it > is vac secured when it is not. > > Also, I wouldn't trust ANY other program to "Protect my game from > kernelhacks and aimbots", simply because we don't know how VAC works and > I really do not want to piss it off... > > Valtteri Kiviniemi wrote: > >> Hi, >> >> Could it be possible to add a cvar like sv_secure that would specify if >> server is secure or not.
