Hi Eric, Thanks for your reply. I've been using nemrun in the past without much trouble for CS:S and TF2. And it still works for CS:S and TF2. Was using it to automate updating (and pausing/killing running servers) 2 CS:S and 2+ TF2 servers that were running off single trees of each game. The problem I'm having is when trying to run nemrun for left4dead2. So far I've only even tested it against an updated "clean" tree (no plugins etc.). Just trying to get updatedaemon mode itself to work first, which so far it doesn't for me. I get the srcupdatecheck errors over and over. I'd be inclined to think maybe I just have nemrun/srcupdatecheck in the wrong directory, or am cd'ing into the wrong directory before running them with my nemrun-updater script, or supplying incorrect steamdir/srvdir, but I remember how apesh*t nemrun and srcds itself would go when I was first setting up nemrun on CS:S/TF2 and didn't have the paths right - error messages about no steam.inf (I think), segfaults/crashes, etc., and I've not seen any of that with my testing of L4D2. nemrun/srcupdatecheck *seem* to be happy - ie, finding everything correctly. Maybe I need to use setmaster* cmds in the running l4d2's to see which masters they are talking to and try modifying srcupdatecheck to one or more of those masters instead. It's just a guess but maybe L4D2 servers need to talk to different masters to do version checking queries. Any ideas, Nephyrin?
