I noticed that the Rapid Rails instructions have users installing 1.9
on Windows - is this *really* a good idea? I just saw this:
http://railslab.newrelic.com/2010/01/07/state-of-the-stack-a-ruby-on-rails-benchmarking-report-7-january-2010
which shows < 2% uptake in production deployment for the 1.9 series.
Given that both 1.9 and Windows are known for causing weird issues
with plugins, wouldn't it be better to install a stable version
(1.8.7, for instance) to avoid driving new users crazy?
Just wondering...
