indeed. zospf or whatever combination of zeroconf OSPF plus OSPF prefix 
assignment is new work.

right. we should aim for a stable prefix given no topology changes. if a link 
partitions and merges there will have to be renumbering.
I think this will require stable storage, regardless of this being done via 
DHCP and a God server or via an autonomous approach like zOSPF.
