It's probably worth bearing in mind that the solution for your problem hasn't
been standardized yet, nor is there even rough consensus on what the standard
ought to look like, and so nobody's got it implemented in devices.
Basing our expectations on what the best we can do is on what we have now is a
recipe for failure. We should set our sights on doing it right, and accept
that it won't be done right in the very earliest IPv6 homenets.

I'm not sure why we're even screwing with mdns in this wg. And if that's not a
requirement for this working
group, I have to ask which century it got chartered in.
