I would further say that the security work in 6tisch, which is aimed at industrial networks is made possible because we are assuming a professionally-managed LLN. The mechanisms being discussed won't scale down to the home. The important constraint of the constrained devices is not ram, cpu or stable storage for ANIMA, but the lack of a VGA and USB connectors for the monitor/mouse.
