Gottfried von Freiberg wrote a good history of the horn excluding the
new development since 1940. It is in German, unfortunately for you,
but has a lot of musical quotes, It ends up with Alban Berg“s
"Woyzzek". I can provide it.

Tim, what is the reason to write a short history of the horn ? Is it
for the exam or a horn class ?

Regards

Hans
