Go to the library and search under the subject heading: Horn (Musical instrument)--History Also ask the reference librarian for help. For one thing, that is what they are there for. For another, a good reference librarian will find information you'd never get on your own. I'm a music cataloger and know (in excruciatingly gory detail) how all of these subject headings work, and I still *always* ask a reference librarian for anything more serious than idle curiosity.
