I've been impressed with the value of the free advice offered here! =)

One question I have on the subject of the Knopf in question (I played it
after the best 'compromise' alignment on the first valve was done and it
really is special as far as I can tell - the valve just isn't physically
machined to suit the casing's openings on the first valve slide) is about
custom valves.

Certainly there are various shops in the U.S. with the people power and
knowledge to properly rebuild valves, but who of them can scratch build a
rotor?
