Thanks for the recommendation.

i looked at the specs for the AMT and they don't seem to be better that the 
Shure.  The specs for the Audio Technica look better than the Sure.  I assume 
that one would want a flat response and a wide range.  I speak from complete 
ignorance on the subject.  The microphones I have bought in the past were 
purchased because they were on sale.  Some I like the sound, some not.  How 
much trust should one put in the specs?  I guess, trying them out would be the 
best approach.
