At the time I was very nervous about cutting my Conn 8D . I asked my teacher
then , David Jolley what difference did it make to cut the bell on his horn
and he said that he felt no difference . I did cut my horn's bell , finally
, and there was no difference . the variables in the spaces we play at , and
in our own physical condition are so big that it simply wouldn't matter .
