I think it is all a matter of taste. I first noticed that the HP profiles weren't up to my standards when I made the same print on both the 130 and my Epson 9600. The differences were significant to my eye. At that point, I decided to make a profile for the 130. I already own an Eye-One and Profilemaker Pro, so no extra cost for me. The profile I made produced a print which was very close to the one made on my Epson 9600 with Atkinson profiles, and corrected some of the problems I saw. I don't sell profiles, so it doesn't matter one way or the other to me what others use. As a point of reference, I didn't think the profiles from Epson were that good for the Epson 2200. The ones I made were better. For the Epson R2400 the "premium profiles" from Epson are so damn good I haven't even bothered to make a custom profile yet (although I probably will at some point). Your mileage may vary. --John ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get to your groups with one click.
