Hello Nick,

I had a look at the Wasatch website and they have a number of different RIP
products. Which one did you use?

Thanks
Lou

Hello John,

No, it's not. It's Wasatch SoftRIP which is not as commonly used as
Imageprint or StudioPrint. I purchased it mainly to control ink
limitting on some difficult media and in the process, after spending
several months learning its powerful separation rules engine, I cannot
do anything without it now. I must admit though it has a pretty steep
learning curve but the end result is very satisfying. Perhaps for
someone who has experience with other RIPs they'd probably learn much
faster than I did.

Some folks in the DigitalBlackAndWhiteThePrint forum complains that
Wasatch does not allow you to control the 6 ink channels of the
DJ30/130 separately but treats it as a 4-color printer with M-Lm and
C-Lc as single color channels. This makes it difficult to convert
their (Epson) printers to use a hex-tone inkset. I think this is a
legitimate concern. This doesn't worry me as I only use this setup for
color printing.
