Hey all. Am having a bit more problems so here I am again.
I upgraded the firmware and software on the HP Designjet 5000. The driver upgrade is 5.35 using HPGL/2. I need to stress that this is for a reproduction print of a digital painting. When I use the out of gamut warning, the entire image (80%) is now out of gamut and has turned into a dull grey with no detail. I have been using Photoshop CS2 and I have had my monitor and printer profiled for the new paper. I printed out a palette demo which printed 2 of the same palettes so I don't know if it was factory, A or B. The A and B palettes are still set at factory. The color printed was definitely the color that was not printing on the print. Could I have a corrupt driver, firmware. Any suggestions? It printed perfectly prior to the upgrade and I did set a restore point which did not hold for some reason. So I am unable to return to the prior driver. I upgraded because I received an auto notification for my hp profile. My big question now is when I printed the palette all the colors I could ever want printed perfectly, so that is sort of leading me to believe the driver is working correctly. On the HP Forum it had me do a proof with CMYK which looked great, until I printed. The print did in no way match the monitor profile. Again, any suggestions would be so appreciated. I have a deadline this week to make. Thanks so much.
