Hi there, just a fabulous forum you all have here. I've just ordered my DJ 130, will be here in 2 days. Question: I have ordered Premium Plus Satin 24 by 50ft roll to begin my pursuit of creating custom posters for individuals. My perspective client list will include area bands and high school/middle school athletes as well as mock up hollywood-style posters for the masses. Will I discover soon that I can use lesser- quality paper (read:cheaper) to achieve WalMart/department store commercial posters like the ones adorning my daughter's bedroom wall? The paper used really seems thin and more of a coated bond? type paper? My purpose isn't so much for 80 years archival quality, I wouldnt imagine...
Are the premium photo HP papers at $75 and $100 dollars respectively for the 24 X 50ft rolls overkill? I will be using my new Sony Alpha100 cam for shooting the subjects, so photo quality yes is what I need I believe.
