Hi John, I'm a graphic artist with a lot of experience in commercial printing, and I recently purchased a DJ 130. Here's my take on your question, some experts may decide to "refine" my answer...
Commercial posters tend to be printed on 100# gloss book paper stock, a very very cheap paper to buy. The thing is, commercial printing presses are able to print very high quality images on very cheap paper (at rates of ten's of thousands per hour). These presses cost 100's of thousands of dollars (or more). A measly consumer inkjet printer like the DJ 130 requires specially designed (expensive) paper to be able lay down a clean saturated image with good color. You'll never be able to use the same cheap "commercial" poster paper in your DJ 130, and there really isn't an "equivalent." Perhaps others on this board will be able to suggest good deals on low-end DJ 130-compatible paper, but I have the feeling that if you skimp much on the paper, your image will start looking pretty bad. That would be sad because the 130 can deliver great-looking prints on the right paper. So in my opinion, I do not think the paper you ordered is overkill. Hopefully you already have a decent amount of experience in Photoshop, doing basic color correction, and own a somewhat beefy computer that can deal with fairly large Photoshop files. Your "package" appears to consist of photography, image prep/color correction, design, and final printed poster(s). That means each package will take a number of hours of your time before you hit the print button. Therefore, the package will need to sell for a significant price to make it worth your time and effort (not to mention help you recoup the cost of your DJ 130). The few bucks you might hope to save with cheap paper is probably not what will make or break your business model. Often we overestimate what a shiny new piece of equipment or software can do for us, but underestimate the time and expertise necessary to produce good results with the equipment/software.
