An image hanging naked on a wall in a home is still subject to whatever indoor lighting people choose to have on it. Just because window glass cuts some of the sunlight doesn't mean it's doing anything about all the light in the room, which could possibly be on 24 hours a day. Also, the Wilhelm recommendation of displayed under glass is also to protect against contaminants. I wish he would suggest HOW you frame to protect for that; I'm a metal frame kinda guy and so I don't have paper backings on most of my prints.
