This is the story I hear over and over from people who I trust. People
who have used all the printers for many years. Yes we all have our
complaints about Epson, especially me. However, one of my 44" has been
in weekely if not daily operation for 6 years another for 4 years, and
two 24" for 7 years. They work like new. I do this for a living and
I've never had Epson over here once. I have had good support on the
phone. With the 10K they would do anything I wanted them to do
immediately. That was very impressive. However with Epson and most of
these companies once you are out of warranty you are in for big
service bills usually and they would prefer you just replace the
machines. But the repair people are usualy very competient here in
Atlanta if you can afford it.

I do belive the Z3100 is the most innovative machine out there and
that the design, precision, and thought that went into it is first
class. What scares me is the actual production of these things once
they are on the assembly line, the quality control, and like everyone
says, support if more than suspect.

I'm keeping an open mind though for the next month or so.
