Back to basics, which paper type are you using? I suspect "photo matte" would be appropriate, one of the glossy/semi-gloss might put down too much ink. Also need to calibrate accordingly. Are you seeing the problems with all colors, or just black? I placed a test image in the "Files" section, 17StepLABGrayScale.zip, that you can use to test neutrals. If you're putting down too much ink, it will show on one or more of the darker patches, becomes sort of glossy if too much ink. There's also the possibility you have some defective paper. Is Hahn WT the only fine art paper that causes the problem? You stated in an earlier message that when you wiped away the ink the surface was white underneath, that sounds like the receptive coating is coming loose as opposed to ink smearing. And how long do you let the paper dry before rubbing? "Instant Dry" is relative, I wouldn't test for 24 hours or more. Ok, out of bullets, good luck.
