Hi
You will certainly have a whole set of new problems if
you try printing from a roll or acetate (or any other
roll medium) without some sort of roll feeder (Home
made or otherwise) to support the roll and help it on
its way through the rear paper path. I wouldn't
recommend it without one if you value your sanity!
Even if you do go for a paper roll feeder of some sort
you will still face the great
"feeding-the-start-of-the-roll-squarely-into-the-printer-test"
which like riding a bicycle for the first time is
devilishly difficult to master, but improves with
practice!
On my 130 I grasp both sides of the end of the sheet
about 3-4cm from the end and align it as accurately as
I can with the rear of the feed slot. With stiff
papers it can help if you take much of the curl out of
the end of the paper before you do this (Another
technique, done with a long steel rule).
Then, with a certain amount of go-for-it attitude,
push the paper in as straight as you can, until it
meets a slight resistance and stops. Hold it here for
a fraction of a second until the rollers grab it and
feed it in. The brief pause as the paper you are
pushing in stops, allows you to make sure both sides
of the paper are at this critical point - which means
it is exactly aligned.

for very few $ - I cant remember the web address for
the instructions - ask around on this forum and
someone will have it - it works brilliantly.
