I, too have 44" z3100. I'm very interested in what you say about using backlit material. I haven't tried any but inquired because documentation for compatible materials on line does not indicate this can be used. I was told this now that despite backlit being one of the materials listed on all of the HP literature touting this printer, both on line and off. It is now not supported, (it is not "dotted" in the master materials list for use with the 3100) therefore they may not address issues related to using backlit. Yet one important reason I was interested in acquiring it was the ability to output backlit. I even tried submitting a "voice of the customer" case from the floor of PDN show in NY, and a got back a garbled, confusing voice message from someone at HP that did not address the issue at all. Do you have information that I do not have about using backlit? By the way, I do enjoy this printer otherwise. It's incredible, truly. But I want to use backlit! Can you enlighten me based on your experiences?
