I need an answer to this one fairly quickly. As part of our museum renovation, we will be using both original documents (books, letters, certificates) and reproductions of documents (in areas where we don;t want to put the original on display). These repros can be map-sized. In our discussion today I said I didn't think my 130 would be good for printing on different kinds of papers (parchment, rice, whatever) that we'd need to use to create these fakes. I suggested that the HP Z printers would possibly do the job better.
What do you think? The docs may have to undergo reasonably close inspection (under glass cases) or not so close (on a distant wall), and they really want to make them look as close to original as possible (including distressing the "docs" after printing). Can I do this with the 130 and its dye inks on the proper papaers, and if not, will the Z do the job? Thanks.
