No, like any water based inkjet printer and the pigment variety especially the best results are on media with an inkjet compatible coating. If it is about the original's media texture and color you will achieve a better replicate faster by printing the media color and texture as well than selecting the original's paper and trying to remove the texture and color in the scanned etc image.
