The printheads are within the carriage... but anyway. You have a rollfeed/cutter? If so, remove the cutter and try booting again, many scan axis shutdowns on the small designjets are cutter related. Either the cutter is not seated correctly, or the output seperators block the cutter. The first can be fixed pretty easily, just reseat it and check if its easily movable. Otherwise block the door sensor (a small 15mm long slot at the upper right of the device) by inserting a stip of paer and watch against what the carriage is bumping. Also, if the carriage is freely moveable, the service station might by faulty. There is a small black piece of plastic between the service station and the print platen that produdes to open the shutter on the carriage.
