Knowing some devices are hyper-touchy, like ... wipe only in the
direction the print head travels, or, wipe only perpendicular to the
direction the print head travels. I would assume some kind of "lint
free' cloth is .. recommended, or essential?

There is either dust or hair making ink drops fall onto the print
or yes if cyan , the print head
is finished.
Usually with the DJ . the prints heads stop printing, but
occasionally spatter ink. You say it is
green though , which is cyan and yellow , if so it is something
like dust pooling the ink
before dropping. The DJ is easy to clean the heads with distilled
water, you only need to run a
calibration/alignment after.
