But I agree with Terry that enfuse might not be able to help. You would use Hugin to re-align the images. You can then use any other photosoftware to complete the process from step 4 onwards (4. Average the Layers). The resize step (Resize image to 4x resolution (200% width/height)) may have to be done before or after alignment, for that I don't have a specific answer. I have taken a set of photos just last week after reading the article, with the aim of using Hugin as well, but have not yet had time to process the images. I do think there are potential for this, and would be a good addition to the hugin's arsenal of applications if one combine with GIMP. Also, from what I have read, I have a feeling that GIMP on its own would not be a good candidate to to alignments with.
