Hello everyone! I have recently retired from building early instruments and now devote my time to playing. I play Hurdy Gurdy with the Noyse Merchants (http:// www.cincinnatiearlymusic.com) in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since we mostly play medieval music, my HG is a copy from the Bosch painting. I also play lute, recorders, and gemshorn in the group. We recently did a performance at the Center for World Rhythms and Movement in Cincinnati and I asked all the drummers who were there (to acoompany the belly dancers) to join me in an improv session with the Hurdy Gurdy. I posted a video of this session on you tube. It has been edited down to a minute and a half, but was originally much longer. You can view it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZ39ce9jdCM I have ordered another HG as mine is too loud. I am getting a smaller, box-style symphonie for the medieval music that we do. Best wishes, Larry D. Brown
