Yes we have the same kind of thing in our folk group. The purists who think there is no folk music under 109 years old versus the guys who think anything "folks" sing is folk music (usually Guthrie et al). I am just waiting for the day I can play my gurdy (a folk instrument) at the meeting <flexes right arm muscles and grins evilly>.
