Oh HELP!!!!!

I used to go occasionally to a folk club (Cabbage Patch) in Twickenham
(London) in the 80tis. They had at the time a similar policy as you
describe Colin and I fell asleep each time I went there. As from then
I tried to avoid folk clubs. In the nineties I moved to Southampton
and a new set of friends tried to "drag" me to the local folk club.
When I actually did go one day, it turned out to be a brilliant
evening. And so it was the next time and the next time and so on. I
came to love the folk club in Southampton, it was always lively, great
music, great variety, lovely people, some brilliant new and old
talents. That's how folk clubs can vary too.

There is nothing similar around here in Valencia. So I have been
thinking of setting one up myself, maybe next year!!

Cheers

Christa
