I must say that the prices that the makers in England, Wales, and Germany have scare the pants off me. Mostly because for that amount I could make a good down payment on a newer car. My husband got a good set of highland pipes for about 1.4k and I would like it if the hurdy gurdy I save towards is around or even under that price.
I have been told that a Symphony is a decent style to start out with given that it is around $800 for it, but so far when I mention it here or in the yahoo group everyone seems to skirt it and then suggest models that are 2.2k plus. If there is such a thing as 2nd hand HGs where would be a good place to start looking? I do want to learn, but I don't have disposable income. So even in a year from now I may still be eying HGs that are 1.7k and below, unless I won the lottery. ;) Cheers, Leah -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hurdygurdy" group.
