Once you¹ve gotten on to the sound of just intonation (or even variety of
meantone), it¹s hard to accept equal temp as being in tune.  Those pure
thirds and truly perfect intervals of just intonation are really pretty.
But‹ensemble work does require some compromise, unfortunately.
