Hiya, I find myself wondering how many gurdy players tweak their tangents between Equal Temperament and Just Intonation?
Players I've talked to who play in bands all seem to favor the Equal Temperament, but the soloists usually tell me they just tweak the tangents "until they sound right". Since the soloists seem to have been playing mostly diatonic and modal folk tunes I assume they (knowingly or not) use a Just Intonation. So what's your opinion or technique for tuning the tangents? -Steve -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hurdygurdy" group.
