I still have that screenshot around somewhere if anybody wants it reposted.
What the rm1x really needs is some way to automate all the tasks that we
now do realtime (pattern switching, muting, transposing, etc) so that
finished songs can be made by people who like making them that way. Right
now I'm happy enough with the 'live mixing' that the rm1x requires though.
I find that if I set things (mute memories, knob assignments) up cleverly,
and practice a bit, I can create finished songs that I am happy with. It
really is a performance insturment in that respect. As far as recording all
that stuff, I wonder if somebody clever would be able to write software to
do this? Does the rm1x even send out/respond to pattern
change/mute/transpose messages?
