HI all, I've got a ? i've been curious about for a while. I want to record
myself playing the Rm1x into my old mc-50 mk II seq. I think there's 2
scenarios. A: Record the midi output of up to 16 rm1x tracks into 1 track
of the mc-50, which can hold up to 16 channels inside one track (somehow).
In this case, all the pattern switching and muting could be done and played
back over to the rm1x in song mode. But if it's in the mc-50 as 1
multi-channeled track, how would it appear to the rm1x, and how would you
split these parts back to their original channels on the 1x?
Which leads me to scene 2: recording my section triggering to the mc-50 as
single key presses (midi note #), only requiring 1 track. I'd then record
this back into the rm1x and voila (?), there would be the sections
triggering per the button presses, like pattern chain mode without the
preplanning etc. Or is the mc-50 inadequate for recording multi-channel
midi performances to play back into the blue box, and I should look for
something else ... Any suggestions/info. are very appreciated at this
juncture.
Jim
