Yeah, that is an excellent description of how it all fits
together.
I was trying to figure all this out last night, and for
anyone who is having problems, the easiest way to figure it
out is just to try it and experiment.
One thing that I did notice is that when in the pattern
patch screen, selecting a preset phrase also changes the
voice for that track.
Now one thing that confuses me is that I thought the voice
settings are global for style, so why does it change them
when I select a different preset phrase? I havent tried
doing this when I have two phrases in different sections of
the same style, pointing to the same track. At that point my
gf got fed up with my twiddling and pointed out it was 1am!
So I'll try that this evening :)
