i.e. if you don't have all your drums on a single track, you can't
hear the other rhythms (tracks) whilst editing... I've read this 1000
times.

when you say channels, do you mean one of the 16 "tracks"?


Last question, IS it true that you can not hear the other tracks when
editing (writing) a element into the pattern .
